This dynamic art installation is designed as a backdrop to the reception of the start-up incubation center, The EXPLORE HUB, where the students with ground breaking startup ideas are nurtured and mentored. The idea of gears — where One Makes the other Move — truly depicts the air that the space breathes. It is a simple yet an engineered installation which required a bit of mathematics and understanding the kinetic nature of the whole assembly. Design process is equally interesting as is the outcome, which involves a lot of inter-related and parallel design processes — the choice of material which governs the teeth size, the various pitch diameters that discriminate the speed, and lastly the visual experience of the kinetic assembly which is again dependent on the teeth size and speed. It truly serves the purpose of introducing dynamism to the environment just as one enters the space.
